"La llegada del cine sonoro en 1929 marcó su declive." (Zubiaur Carreño, 2008). Esta cita sentencia de forma determinante como una innovación técnica aplicada deja fuera de foco a Buster Keaton, por lo menos dentro de los niveles productivos e industriales del cine. Con la llegada del cine sonoro en 1929 muchos artistas serán desplazados y obligados a refugiarse en otras formas artísticas para subsistir.
Reduje la totalidad de la película “One Week” (Buster Keaton, 1925) a un solo frame mediante diferentes operaciones de programación. Luego inserté el film comprimido sobre los compartimentos con diferentes profundidades de un difusor acústico dividido en siete partes. La reflexión, refracción, difracción e interferencia operan lumínicamente sobre el objeto mudo.

"The arrival of sound movies in 1929 marked its decline." (Zubiaur Carreño, 2008). This quote determines decisively how an applied technical innovation leaves Buster Keaton out of focus, at least within the productive and industrial levels of cinema. With the arrival of the sound film in 1929, many artists were displaced and forced to take refuge in other artistic forms in order to survive. I reduced the entire film "One Week" (Buster Keaton, 1925) to a single frame through different programming operations. Then I inserted the compressed film over the compartments with different depths of an acoustic diffuser divided into seven parts. Reflection, refraction, diffraction and interference operate lightly on the mute object.
